Packing List Recommendations

Here’s a handy starting point for your packing list!


Be sure to adjust based on the weather and how long you’ll be staying. Remember, you’ll be hiking to your campsite — so packing light will make your adventure a lot more enjoyable.


Essential Gear:


  • Waterproof hiking boots

  • Long pants/long sleeved shirt

  • Sweatshirt/jacket/hat

  • Rain gear

  • Extra socks

  • Gaiters

  • Extra change of clothes

  • Sleeping bag/sleeping pad


Food & Water:

  • Water (2 liters per hour while hiking)

  • Food/beverages

  • Camp stove/cookware/utensils

  • Water purifier (tablets/filter)


Safety & Navigation:

  • First aid kit

  • Map and compass

  • Waterproof matches

  • Flashlight/extra batteries

  • Sunscreen/bug repellant


Tools & Miscellaneous:

  • Toilet paper

  • Folding bow saw/hatchet

  • Trash bags (carry in/carry out)


Remember to check weather conditions before your trip and adjust your packing accordingly.
