About the event

Woods Walk & Talk Series

Join Merck Forest and Special Guests for the last in our 2026 Woods Walk & Talk series, offered in partnership with the Vermont Women’s Fund, and in honor of the 55th Anniversary of the first all-female Student Conservation Association crew in 1971.


We’ll venture out with Robina Moyer from the Trailblazers program at Vermont Works for Women. Prior to joining Vermont Works for Women, Robina spent 15 years living and working in Alaska as a naturalist guide and environmental consultant. This Woods Walk & Talk is all about what the woods have become. We’ll take the Farm Trail up to MFFC's Timber Frame Shop where the new timber frame animal barn began. Then, we’ll head on over to the newly raised barn, up near blueberry hill with beautiful view to the east and west, where you’ll get a behind the scenes look at the ongoing…
