Winter Animal Tracking Workshop
Winter is a wonderful time to explore how wildlife use the landscape. Join us for a collaborative wildlife tracking workshop that offers multiple opportunities to observe animal movement, behavior, and habitat use in the woods over the coming months.
Time & Location
Feb 28, 2026, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Merck Forest and Farmland Center, 3270 VT-315, Rupert, VT 05768, USA
About the event
This 3-hour workshop will introduce participants to the tracks, signs, and trails of local wildlife. From clear prints to scats, and feeding signs we'll cover the process of interpretation using habitat, natural history, and behaviour as clues that lead us to a sense of familiarity with our treasured wildlife neighbours. With or without snow cover, tracking provides deep insights into the ecology of the world we live in and endeavour to care for.
