About the event
Every May, something remarkable happens at MFFC. Warblers, thrushes, and dozens of other birds pass through following ancient routes north, reading cues in light and temperature that have guided migration for thousands of years. All of them depend on connected, intact forests like MFFC. Join Audubon Vermont's Director of Conservation Jillian Liner and MFFC Executive Director Rob Terry for a morning walk through the woods with ears open, eyes up, no expertise required.
They'll help you tune in and understand what you're hearing. We'll talk about what spring migration looks like here and why a forest like MFFC's plays an outsized role in keeping migratory species alive. This walk is for you! Free and open to the public, but space is limited, so please register soon!
