Workshop: From Tree to Cutting Board

Join Merck Forest, Vermont Woodlands and The Audobon Society for an immersive journey through the lifecycle of wood:  from forest management to your kitchen! Learn how active forest management enhances biodiversity, structural diversity, and the overall health of our forests while supporting sustainable timber production. 

This workshop for adults and mature teens starts with a tour of an active timber site, includes a discussion on the benefits of active forest management, and then affords you the opportunity to craft your own cutting board from wood harvested at Merck Forest. Create a unique piece for your kitchen and enjoy hors d’oeuvres with fellow participants as you celebrate the journey.

Program Fee: $20pp and pre-registration is required; register HERE. Due to the low cost of the program, refunds are not available, unless event is cancelled by MFFC.
