Wilderness Day Camp for Rising 4-6th Graders
July 19 @ 9:00 am - July 23 @ 3:00 pm$250
7/19 – 7/23. $250/child
Campers will explore the biology of various mammals that live in the Northern Taconic forests and how these mammals and their environment are interdependent. Through inquiry and observation, they will deepen their knowledge of natural communities, as they use nature journals to document their explorations. Campers will sketch squirrels, investigate skulls, and sleuth for evidence of creatures as they engage in forestry-related activities.
Children should be dressed for outdoor adventures and wet environments. They should bring a bag lunch (and perhaps a change of clothes?).
Cancellations are discouraged. If you must cancel your child’s registration, please be aware of our refund policy outlined below: Refunds and changes in registration are subject to a $20 non-refundable processing fee, and will be given according to the following schedule: A cancellation request received at least seven (7) days before the first day of camp will receive a full refund, less the processing fee. If a cancellation request is received less than seven (7) days before the first day of camp, we will be unable to offer a refund, unless someone on the waiting list is able to fill your child’s space, in which case a full refund will be issued, less the $20 administrative fee. MFFC is unable to provide refunds if a child misses one or more days of camp due to illness, unexpected family obligations, dismissal, or any other foreseen event. Other children may not be substituted into your child’s vacant spot. MFFC reserves the right to cancel camp programs due to low enrollment. If a camp is cancelled due to low enrollment, MFFC will work to place campers into another camp, or issue a full refund. MFFC also reserves the right to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case a full refund will be issued. Registration is not considered complete until all paperwork has been submitted. Failure to submit completed registration paperwork will result in a loss of space in the camp and any tuition paid. Register for Wildlife Camp HERE.
