Hand-Crafted Box Making

Saturday, September 19, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Join local artist Jane Davies in this unique hand crafted workshop making a handmade and decorated box. In this workshop we will learn the techniques for creating a hard-cover, two-piece lidded gift box. During the process we will discuss how the box relates to its contents, and how the interior relates to the exterior. We will decorate our boxes with collage materials and other embellishments, giving you the opportunity to express your personal creativity and style. If you would like to make your gift box for a specific object, such as an ornament, a set of candles, a book, or a stack of handmade cards, either measure the object or bring it to the workshop.
